Q: How do I contact my child's instructor?

A: You may request to contact your student's instructor by sending a quick email to per your registration material

In your email, include:

  • Your student's name
  • Camp location
  • Date your student attended camp
  • Written permission for staff to contact your student
  • The best email for the instructor to contact your student

Our People Services Department will pass along this information to the staff, and the instructor will have the option to contact you directly. In some cases, the staff may not be able to respond.

Q: Do you use Mac or Windows at your programs?

A: We use both platforms at our summer computer camps. Most of our courses are taught on Windows, but we attempt to mirror the industry standard in each of our summer camp courses. We believe it is important be proficient in both platforms.

Q: How much experience is needed for the courses that have prerequisites?

A: We accept all levels of experience in our programs, but please be mindful of the specified age ranges and skill levels when registering for a specific course. Many courses are for beginner to advanced students, while others require prior knowledge. We have categorized our courses by age and skill level based on years of student and parent feedback, as well as our own observations.

Q: How do you determine your age requirements?

A: We carefully consider the age range for each course as we update our course curriculum each season. Age requirements are based on a number of factors, including the complexity of the software used and our many years of teaching experience.

Our age policy allows students to take a course provided they meet the age requirement by December 31st of the camp year.

Q: Are your camps segmented by age?

A: All programs are divided by age, but students of varying ages will typically share the same lab area. We provide a well-balanced, fun summer camp experience that is age-appropriate for kids, preteens, and teens.

Students are grouped as follows:
Ages 7-9
Ages 10-12
Ages 13-17

Q: How much time do students spend on computers each day?

A: Students enrolled in this program will spend approximately 5 hours per day on the computer (a few hours less on Fridays due to Family Showcase). Students will take breaks to engage in recreational activities during the day. We blend traditional summer camp activities (sports, gaming tournaments, chess tournaments, outdoor activities, etc.) with forward-thinking technology courses. Beyond STEM skill development, students will socialize, make friends, and have fun.

Q: How are students separated during the overnight stay?

A: Boys and girls will typically be housed on separate floors or opposite wings of the dormitory. Students have the option to request a specific roommate upon registration. If no roommate is specified, we will make every effort to room each student with another student near their age.

Our staff is housed in the same dorm building as our students. They will lead evening activities and supervise students throughout the night.

Q: How do you ensure student safety?

Q: Risk Management is at utmost importance to us.

We follow all American Camp Association (ACA) guidelines at each of our summer camps. Criminal background checks, sexual offender checks, and personal and professional references are mandatory for all staff members. We regularly evaluate our instructors to make sure our high standards are met.

Trains, planes, and automobiles deliver staff to required regional training sessions prior to the start of each camp season. The well-being of our students and staff is worth the extra miles. It equates to peace-of-mind for parents.

Each program location has a Director and staff members who are CPR & First-Aid certified. Should there be an emergency, our staff is aware of the proper actions to take, as well as nearby medical facilities.

Q: What safety measures are taken in the overnight programs?

A: Risk management is our number one priority. All classes, activities, meals, and boarding are supervised by our adult staff. Overnight students will stay in the campus dorms. Boys and girls will be housed on separate floors or opposite wings of the dorm. Most locations have both male and female instructors that stay in separate rooms on the same floor as the students, generally near fire exits and stairwells.

Every staff member who comes in contact with students at camp is required to undergo a thorough background check. We run criminal background checks, sexual offender background checks, identification checks, and multiple reference checks. All camps have Directors and staff that are CPR & First Aid certified.

Q: What is the $35 Compliance and Safety Fee?

A: The Compliance and Safety Fee is a $35 non-refundable fee that is assessed per session in order to support our risk management efforts and compliance with labor and health regulations of applicable state, county, and local jurisdictions.

Tuition includes all state/province and federal taxes (except for VAT, which will be added to the course cost for international locations, if applicable), adult supervision, instruction, curriculum materials, camp T-shirt, and recreational activities. Overnight Program Tuition includes day tuition items plus daily meals (Sunday evening–Friday afternoon), double-occupancy dorm room (subject to availability), 24-hour adult supervision, and recreation.
